Title: Towards a simple model for the dynamics of magnetic skyrmions
Abstract: Understanding the dynamics of magnetic skyrmions and how to control them is of vital importance to develop applications. The most valuable tool to arise from such studies would be a simple model that predicts skyrmion motion as a result of excitations or an applied current. We will present a simple way of modelling magnetic skyrmions as closed walls and discuss how this can help us model how they move both under an applied current. Finally, we will discuss how this could be used to develop a simple tool to understand how to control skyrmions in various systems.
